It seems that the whole of Mastering Perl is available online for free through O’Reilly’s Safari service. I don’t even need to log in to see it. Sometimes Safari Online lets you see previews of books, but this is the whole thing. I’m not particularly concerned about that, but it was unexpected. If this is a fluke and doesn’t work for you (or disappears much later) let me know.

You can read Mastering Perl on your Kindle now. The print edition should be in the warehouses in a couple of weeks.
I don’t have a Kindle so I don’t know how the book looks in it. I don’t have much hope for the older Kindles, but what about the new Fires? Send me a screenshot if you’d like me to see what you see!
Mastering Perl is available on Amazon.com for advance orders. It’s $1 less than the previous edition, too. You can also pre-order it directly from Oreilly.com, which gets you access to the in progress digital version of book as an “Early Release”.
I still think it’s roughly four months from actually showing up at your door though; I have a couple of chapters to finish.
